The geometry of the new Monocoque has been completely revised. The focus was primarily on packaging and the seamless integration of all driverless components.
In addition, the volume of the monocoque has been significantly reduced, particularly at the rear of the vehicle, which translates directly into usable installation space for aerodynamic components. In the front end, the monocoque is distinguished above all by a new, lighter crash structure and integrated, aerodynamically optimized chassis connection.

Starting with the development of the new, aerodynamically optimized monocoque, the aerodynamics package based on it was developed from scratch. On the eax01, this consists of front and rear wings, a unibody underbody with integrated diffuser and wake management devices. Maximizing downforce and optimally integrating the autonomous components were top priorities in the development of the aerodynamics package. The package achieves a downforce value of 6.6 at 5° oblique flow.

With the aim of maximum efficiency and weight reduction, new E-machines and gearboxes were conceptualized in this year's wheel hub drive, which were manufactured using the latest manufacturing processes and materials: Powder for metal 3D printing of the wheel carriers, gear steel of the profile-ground wheels with optimized tooth shape, and wheel hub alloys are unique in Formula Student to date. The assembly is rounded off by customized bearing and sealing technology.

The vehicle is powered by a 600-volt traction battery with a capacity of 6.8 kWh and a maximum output of 80 kW. Over 20 sensors are connected to the decentralized CAN system to control the vehicle, with two cameras and a LiDAR sensor in particular being used for autonomous driving. The more than 25 different boards developed in-house are integrated directly into aerodynamic components and connected to the wiring harness via motorsport connectors. There, over 350 meters of cable span the vehicle's electrical system.

"Beat the Driver" was the declared goal at the beginning of the season. The software is thus able to exploit the full potential of the vehicle on an unknown track. For this purpose, pylons at a distance of up to 50 meters can be recognized with color and position. In addition, the software calculates the ideal racing line, which is driven at the mechanical limit by a model-predictive controller.
